Our goal is to deliver the books and educational materials you order via Mehewara to you quickly and safely. To do this, we use two of Sri Lanka's main delivery methods.

Read this to choose the best method for you and to learn about the Delivery Fee and the time it takes.

🏛️ 01. SL Post Courier (Sri Lanka Post)

This is the best solution if you want to receive items at a very low cost.

💰 How Fees are Charged (Delivery Fees)

Here, the fee is determined by the weight of the parcel. Generally, this is more Budget Friendly than other courier services.

💡 Special Note: When ordering via SL Post, the Delivery Fee must often be paid in advance (Pre-paid). Facilities to pay upon receiving the item (COD) are limited with this method.

🚛 02. Prompt Xpress Courier (Doorstep Delivery)

Choose this if you want a reliable and fast service that delivers the item right to your doorstep (Doorstep Delivery).

💰 How Fees are Charged

Prompt Xpress calculates fees using a fixed method. This can be more advantageous the larger the parcel is.

• For the first 1kg: Rs. 500.00 (Fixed fee)

• For every additional 1kg thereafter: Rs. 140.00 is added.

Examples:

• If the books you order weigh 500g = Rs. 500.00

• If the weight is 1.5kg (Rs. 500 for the first 1kg + Rs. 140 for the remaining 500g) = Rs. 640.00

• If the weight is 3kg = Rs. 780.00

🏠 Special Benefit: With this method, you have the ability to pay cash to the courier officer after receiving the item at home (Cash on Delivery - COD).

⏳ How long does it take to receive the item? (Delivery Days)

Generally, you will receive the item within 48 hours (2 days) after the Seller hands over the parcel to the courier company.

⚠️ Weekend Deliveries

Courier companies do not conduct deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays.

• For example: If the parcel was sent on Friday, you will most likely receive it on Monday.

• Parcels sent from Monday to Thursday are received within 2 days.

📲 Tracking (Tracking the Parcel)

To know where your order is now:

1. Go to "My Orders" on the Mehewara App or website.

2. Check the Status of the relevant order.

   • Processing: The seller is preparing the parcel.

   • Delivering: The parcel has been handed over to the courier company. (You will also receive a Tracking Number).
